Rant on Fitness, Sports, and Life...

Who would of thought 2 years ago that HE would be the top QB in the NFL?

1)  I love fitness.  All the aspects that go into it.  The training, the nutrition.  But the truth is, the personal training business can be tough at times.  It seems as if the majority of people are allergic to a trainer.
Even a good trainer.  The lame "trainers" in the industry make it hard for those of us who actually care about our craft.

2)  In the same breath, all these gimmick BOSU ball, low intensity "trainers" should be temporarily suspended from all gyms.  Read a book, learn program design, and come back a brand new trainer.  Right now you are destroying the industry.  You know who you are!

3)  Why are cats using the Smith machine for Deadlifts?  What are we really doing here?  My training partner saw this at a local commercial establishment the other day...sign of the testosterone-less times.

4)  Mike Vick is the true story of a second chance.  He was involved in a heinous act, and sat in cell for almost 2 years.  He probably thought he would never play in NFL again.  The Eagles signed him when no one else would touch him.  And now he posts the greatest single season game in NFL history.  Second chances do happen.  Do not get too down on yourself if you fall.  We all fall.

5)  Manny Pacquiao is the best boxer in the world.  Floyd Mayweather Jr. says he is the best ever.  Why is this fight not happening?  Why are excuses being made from one camp?  From what I have seen from both of them, Pacquiao wins the fight.

6)  Donovan McNabb will not be with Washington in 2011.  Mike Shanahan does not want him there.  The contract extension is a joke.  He is not playing great, but he is surrounded with similar talent that he had in his early Philadelphia years.  I like McNabb.  He takes more heat than any quarterback.

7)  Why do men around the nation only lift upper body?  You probably look like you walk on stilts when the pants come off.  Thighs and calves are the same size.  All achilles and femur.  And no, women are not impressed.

8)  Why are a lot of women scared of free weights?  You are not going to turn into Arnold Schwarzenegger!  You want to transform your body right?  Deadlifts, Squats, Push-Ups, and other compound movements will get you there.  Coming to the gym to WALK on a treadmill and go through a lame machine circuit will not transform anything.  It will actually demotivate you.

9)  Getting clients can be like pulling teeth sometimes.  Most people give you that song and dance about getting in shape.  They are inconsistent for a few months and then quit.   The ones who commit though actually transform their body over the years.

10)  In life one of the things that forces change is hitting rock bottom.  I hit rock bottom a few years back financially.  It opened my eyes and made me more responsible with money.  Most people are inches above rock-bottom fitness wise.  You can only go to the gym so many times without getting any results before you realize you need help.  Contact me.

11)  People on Facebook have hundreds and thousands of "friends."  In real life you have less than 5-8 real friends.  Seriously.

12)  Facebook is also turning people into mini-celebrities.  We do not care if you are watching "The Bachelor."  We do not care if you taking a dump.  Spend that time on Facebook training in the gym and you will be happier.  And look better!

13)  Old-School training techniques from the Golden Age are very effective.  But in todays machine-laden, commercial establishments, they are forgotten?  How many times have you seen Barbell Hack Squats at your gym?  Or Sternum Pull Ups?  Or Gironda Reverse Dips?  Research the past and apply it to your present.

14)  The label for cigarettes says it causes cancer.  Alcohol will erode your liver.  Exercise will improve your quality of life DRAMATICALLY.  Guess which one is the least popular?

15)  God is forgiving because we all are so far from perfect.  We mess up each and every day.  Continue to have faith in Him, regardless of your situation.

Whether you are a fan or an athlete, the most vital and comprehensive knowledge about any type of sports can only be clearly understood through the best sports books written either by the champion athlete or a veteran coach. They are the most reliable persons because they have experienced the best and worst of the games and the ins and outs of every game Sport Supplies i really like this. thank you..
