The KOL (King of Legs) has the right idea... |
you perform it after a heavy, backbreaker set! (Thanks DC style training) The worst part about a true Widowmaker is that the anxiety leading up to actual day of reckoning is unbearable and it consumes you like a virus. Young Husky and I have known this day was coming for WEEKS. There is no mental preparation that could save us. Every training session had a cloud of despair above it leading up to the W-WDay. And when we were finally 24 hours out, the realization hit like a Mike Tyson uppercut. 12 hours out you are on Lifters Row. 1 hour out you are taking your preworkout supplements in fear, and 15 minutes out you are dropping a nervous smash. Let us not mention dancing and stalling in the warm up. The ultimate eye opener is when the warm up is over and you stare Backbreaker/Widowmaker in the eye. The only options are succeed or face burial and expiration. The question then becomes very simple...What do you offer the game? How bad do you want to succeed? BB/WM is the ulitmate test of strength, endurance, will, and character. Nothing else in training can instill the same fear and anxiety. The video will tell the story as I do not have much to say except that I am glad it is over!
Effort, determination, and the BUCKET...
Test of character, strength, will, and endurance....everything is on the line!
Here's the thing, ok...this is some real stuff right here...the REAL real! And you look good too! Good up the good work...May is right around the corner. Ain't no half steppin' from here! Let's do this!
